7th Bead Soup Blog Reveal and a Giveaway!
Welcome to the 7th Bead Soup Blog Reveal Party!! Thank you LORI ANDERSON for hosting this blog party! This is the first time that I participated in the Bead Soup Blog Party. My partner was Heather from CSW Designs. A big THANK YOU to Heather -she was very generous with the beautiful (some were handmade) pieces that she sent me. Since this was my first time, I wasn't exactly sure how things would go, but I am happy to report things have gone very smoothly. I enjoyed this challenge quite a bit and it allowed me to work outside of my norm.
Here is the soup I received from Heather.
Now I had to decide what I was going to make with all these beads! I decided to work with the copper element and not patina it (usually I patina my metals). I also determined that I would not use all of these beads and would have several left over. The rules were that you must use the clasp and focal in whatever you created. I started out wire wrapping the focal and soldering some hand formed circular links. I also added a few of my own beads for more red. Here are the pics:
Love that Sari ribbon! |
I will be giving this piece away to one lucky reader (USA only). If you are interested in winning this all you have to do to win is leave a comment that you want to be entered into the drawing (you do not have to be a follower of my blog although I would really LOVE it if you followed me too!) I will draw a winner on April 15th. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out all of the other participants by clicking HERE
