Storage Jars

Today I went hunting for small storage jars for some of my beads and trinkets. I found some wonderful little rustic jars at an antique store for a great price. I knew these little jars would be just what I needed. However, they were a bit dull when I bought them and so I decided to give them a little character.
They started out with plain white lids with a bit of rust on them.

I used alcohol inks to color them.

Then I added stamps and cut outs using mod podge.
I am pleased with the final results and have already filled these little jars with my treasures!

  3. What a great idea! I need to find some ways to beautify my studio (aka, The Blair Witch Basement). It's easier to get into the mood to create when you're surrounded by cool stuff like your lids - so fun!

    Cheers!
