I recently returned from an awesome trip to New York City for my brother's wedding in Central Park. Prior to my trip, I had happened to find a wholesale jewelry sales located in Manhattan not far from where we were staying. After seeing a few pics online and emailing one of their associates I knew I had to check this place out. It was a jewelry pickers paradise!! My best friend Shantell joined me and we hunted for treasure for several hours. Even for me, a seasoned hunter, I was overwhelmed with the 5,000 square foot place. There was so much to look through. At one point Shantell was almost buried alive when a stack of boxes fell on top of her! We laughed and continued on. I did manage to get quite a large haul though, which I will show some pics of in a later post. The place I went to was called CJS Sales and it is wholesale only, so you will need your business credentials if you go. A few tips, they sell by the pound, wear good shoes in case you step on something sharp and gloves would of come in handy. Overall, I had a fantastic vacation and the wedding in Central Park was lovely.

Hi friends! It's been awhile since I shared anything. With the warmer weather finally here my days have been full to the brim. I have had some studio time recently and made a few new designs which I'm sharing with you today. Each is a unique triple layered charm necklace made with sparkles and vintage charms. Enjoy!

Sharing a pair of earrings I made for my mom who is one fantastic lady. These were originally buttons that I converted into earrings. They are a cream colored metal mesh featuring brass anchors with a nice patina. I added a vintage pearl, an old wooden bead and sparkles. Happy Mother's Day!

This winter is way too long. I'm having junk withdrawals. I was beginning to think there was no more good treasure to be found until suddenly last week I found a FREE curbside treasure!! Oh how I have missed seeing free stuff outside, even if it's crap I still like to look! Plus it reminds me of warmer weather. Imagine my delight when I saw a male tabletop dress form at the end of someone's driveway piled up with the ton of snow we have had. Once again, I couldn't believe the things people throw out!! The homeowner happened to be there in the driveway so I asked and she said, "Yes please take it!" Sweeeeeeet!!! So I loaded him up, brought him home and decked him out with a sparkly bow tie and named him Valentino in honor of Valentine's Day. I'm pretty sure Grace thinks it's true love.
