Hi my blogging friends! I apologize I have been absent lately. A lot has happened in my life in the past 3 months. I have been adjusting to several big changes. I am living in a new location and have been keeping busy feathering my nest. I wanted to share some pics of my new dining room. Here is what I have so far. Enjoy!

What fun! My friend Angie and I took a trip to the 2011 Junk Bonanza and had a total blast! I saw so many interesting things and so badly wanted to take many of them home with me. I'm proud to say I had a limit of only what I could fit in my
bag car. You would be surprised at what I can fit in my Honda Civic! So for now here are some of the pics of what I saw. I will show you my treasures soon.
Stay tuned for more on what I brought home to the Vault!

I spent last weekend in Oronoco MN for the annual Gold Rush Days. The ENTIRE town (well its not very big-but still) is filled with different junk vendors. It's so much fun and takes more than one day to cover the entire event. I had a great time picking and wheeling and dealing for my treasures. Here are some pics of some of the loot I came back with. My good friend Lisa was recently married and I decided to make her a wedding gift of jewelry. I soldered a picture of her and her husband to a vintage prism. I hand wired the chain using pretty stones and Czech glass and combined it with upcycled chain. Congratulations Lisa!

As promised here is the reveal of my latest project. I will be using this as a make-up vanity in our master bathroom. I took several different photos some with the flash on and some with it off. I also took some pictures with our bathroom lights on and off. Our bathroom lights tend to give it a yellow glow, but it is not yellow at all. I used Annie Sloan Old White Chalk Paint, then finished her with clear wax. What do you think?
